I have enjoyed paper scrapbooking and all forms of paper crafts for some time now. My Christmas present for Tony last year was an "altered book, " which is a book that I collaged using the theme of "Music." I recently joined a digital scrapbooking website where they periodically set forth "challenges" or small themed contests. Of course with Tony's ability in Photoshop, digital scrapbooking is a natural transition for me. I have learned so much more about the use of Photoshop with Tony's help. He has helped me implement so many of my design ideas. Plans include to do an album for Mary's senior year of high school, Melinda's wedding and our wedding. First though, I am taking requests from all the children to "do" them.

All credits for digital elements found here.

there was a lot of good food that day.

My Dad.

This layout was for a color challenge.

The kids took snow pants, stuffed them, propped them on a chair.. then with the camera set about creating some optical illusions.

This was done for an advertising challenge. We were given a rice cakes magazine ad and had to create a LO from it.

The inspiration for the challenge to the left.

I scrapped these photos of Emily's first time on ice skates

Mary's arrival and Laurel's dragonfly photo.

The challenge was to use the color RED....

All of the kids will play "MAFIA" and Telephone and make it seem so much fun we join in also. There were 11 people playing this round of Telephone.

This was from an artwork challenge. I was given a soda-pop label as inspiration. The photo in the upper left corner is a replica of that label.

The color of Laurel's sweater matched one of the colors of this week's color challenge perfectly.

Another font challenge.

The challenge was to use big quotation marks. This page came together naturally. The reunion at the side door was joyous and exuberant.

Another font challenge ... these are the photos from the "Autumn Days" gallery.

My Goddaughter, Elizabeth turns 18.

This layout was another "Font Challenge". Tony taught me how to do the photo extraction used... where we remove the background in the top comic strip.

Amanda and her friend, Isaac were enjoying each other's company one day (September, 2000). Unfortunately, (or fortunately) there was only one popsicle

This Font Challenge was the use of "ampersands"... We already had this photo of our names written in the sand with an ampersand so it seemed perfect.

The theme for this challenge was "House and Home." I had been wanting to create blueprint paper in Photoshop.

This layout was for an "Art Challenge." We were given photo of artwork and we had to use it as inspiration. I used the colors.

Here is the cover of the altered book I made for Tony. It was a New York City Public School music textbook from 1945. Cost 50 cents from a thrift shop

I collaged several songs that were special to Tony and me. I include here the "Beatles" page...natch.

The music sheets used on these two pages also come from the thrift shop for $1.00.
