In the Spring of 2002, Melinda took a drawing course while attending the University of Miami. It was a departure from the rest of her coursework. Anyone who has met Melinda, even only in passing, understands that she is gifted organizationally and administratively, but her family has seen that she values beauty. Over the years the celebration tables she has prepared, flower arrangements that appeared, the "jungle" bathroom she created... all these attest to the warmth she brings to life.
