The grave is overwhelmed

yesterday…
Tony and I had big plans to take the kids to build a fire and roast some hot dogs at Middle Falls… but it snowed! SNOWED! not really snow, it seemed more like light soft hail, but the wind was howling and whipping about. It was cold.
I made a promotional trailer for the Beth Moore Stepping Up study on the psalms of ascent that Amy and I will be leading this summer…
Katherine and Emily cut fabric squares and then arranged in strips for me to finally sew together and finish the quilt I have been promising the K_Belle for awhile now…
Katherine locked the keys in the car… a few months ago I tried to make more keys, but because of the security chip, that plan didn’t work out so well. WE spent time looking for the other set of keys… no luck, then we tried to break in with a coat hanger… George offered us a crow bar..we passed on that… I called a few friends to see if anyone had a “slim jim.” Not a Canadian term, as I said to Wil, “a slim jim is something you need when your teenage daughter locks the keys in the van.” But Canada had something better to offer, Nik and Dana were dropping the boys off for a visit, and they are very good at breaking into cars…
a few days ago…
Melinda sent me a worship CD recommendation, Chris Tomlin’s Hello Love. Completely blessing my socks off…
and then i found this on YouTube… Chris tells the story behind the song…
these days…
I am writing more … finished the other story, and now, this project…
Susan held the whimpering baby, “Officer McKinney, do you think there is a God who sees this?
The young man with the platinum hair, with the rugged hands holding fetid clothes, squatting a few feet from dried vomit, looked at her, and smiled quite slowly, “Ms. Slade, I know there is a God who not only sees this but is more grief stricken than you are. “
Susan’s eyes fixed on the baby’s green flecked eyes, “I hope so. I hope so.â€
time to get the family awake for church… I think we will have a spiral cut ham, and some fresh spring vegetables for Sunday dinner today, some homemade biscuits…

Sunday dinner at your house sounds fantastic – I was just wondering if I have any meat in the freezer that I can defrost in time for dinner – LOL. Love the Chris Tomlin link – I find myself drawn to Christian music lately and that song is wonderful. And regarding the Red Wings, I’m going to let them defend themselves the best way they know how – by WINNING!

I love this song, as well. We’ve started singing “Jesus, Messiah” at church, as well. Great CD.
Can’t wait to see the quilt!
Melinda
Angie, Jesus Messiah is my most favorite right now!! Just love it.
I can’t believe it snowed! Earl and I had turkey burgers with zucchini bits in it (his included mushrooms and a fried egg and mine had mustard, BBQ sauce, cheese and lettuce) for lunch. We are looking forward to lobster, fish, mashed potatoes and veggies for dinner! Yum-o!
Love you guys.
