Very quickly a recap of happenings… the Crash Hot Potatoes last night were amazingly easy and good… the steak sandwiches were decent… problem was .. we ate in shifts, and the first shift raved… but by the time my middle shift ate, I think the sandwiches were a bit drier, and who knows what it was like for the last shift (aka Tony.)  I introduced the girls to iceberg lettuce wedges with ranch dressing, a steak house speciality (haute cuisine) of the 70’s.

My cough is not getting better, and I didn’t sleep well which always means headache for me the next day… and I had some errands to run today… and am just now getting to the blogging…

Becky totally knocks me out sometimes… we were talking (amidst screeching and shouting, as she is supervising some teenagers in Orlando) and she shared a billboard she had seen… which I have recreated here…

a layout about Emily and her cooking/creating/ experimenting… I took the bottom journaling from that blog post she did awhile back as a guest blogger… I laughed all over again…

speaking of Emily , she knocked a french test out of the park yesterday… Emily loves languages… she has done well with French since arriving in Canada, did well with Spanish in Miami, ca do some amazing impressions/ accents/ dialects, but at the beginning of this school year, she and some classmates (all of them) decided to terrorize the supply (substitute) teacher.. yes, I was embarrassed to be called in  along with every other parent… Emily had a stern talking to from sa mère (her mother)…and was instructed I expected her to be leader of good, and the 2nd term she pulled it around… but in spite of this, she had good marks (A’s) in French… the regular teacher came back from maternity leave for the 3rd term and Emily decided to behave but also to stop working… French Teacher #2 called me and gave Emily a re-test because "she usually does so well…" and the result was she had a minor triumph, whew….

and one last bit… Katherine is into flair as found on Facebook.  and so I have noticed it more… found this one on DST which cracked me up….

tonight is pizza night   and I baked the Pioneer Woman Chocolate Sheet Cake last night, with a cold mug of milk… delish…
