Radiation Lists

A few nights ago, I had a pomegranate sparkler, which was a sparkly bubbly drink of soda water and pomegranate syrup made from reduced pomegranate juice. That drink was so beautiful and a fruit explosion in my mouth. I loved it, and it filled me with hope of life after radiation and of the coming summer. I could manage one sip, as the 2nd sip was burning on my throat.
Today, Mary made from scratch iced tea. (off of my foodie list.) She used green tea, it was slightly sweetened. And this time i had a few more than only one sip. There is still a burning in my throat but not as intense as the last time. I could really savour the tea leaves. I am excited to see what sort of progress a few more days will bring.
I have been struggling with my pain medication recently. I am taking far less, as I need less, but the amount i am taking is hitting me hard. I am impossibly sleepy almost all the time. And this is a problem, aside from the more obvious reasons… is i feel as if i am sleeping through the beginning of this new chapter in life…
otherwise we seem to have a few problems with the blogs and we are investigating

Even if you sleep through the first part of this chapter — I can tell you, the middle and end of the chapter are far more exciting and wonderful. Get some rest while you can — those 45 kids have been plotting and planning all sorts of activities when you’re back up and kicking!
Smooches!!

Yay! I can read your blog!!! Pomegranate sparkler – yum!
Sleep! You need to heal! And summer hasn’t officially started yet so you don’t need to rush things. The next chapter is waiting and can wait a bit longer.
Love and kisses!

I’m so glad that you write so much about tasting! Lately I’ve been praising God for my other senses besides sight. He truly loves us and is truly beautiful! I especially taste and smell more now and thank God for those Creations. Thank you for revealing that to me!

Praying each day brings new things – new tastes, less pain and less meds. We are so blessed. Love you

So glad to be able to read your blog again and get caught up. Love that you are able to taste again; pomegranates and lemon-anything are two of my favourites.
