What I am not doing today

I am not waking up with the “what time is radiation today?,” as my first burning thought… followed quickly by a groan, as I realize i don’t remember…
I (and the family and friends who are along for this wild ride) now have 35 radiation treatments behind us! yahoo!

I am tired and worn out… I have, as usual, ensure plus all over all over my pj pants because the feeding tube has come loose again. I still have to my morning stuff to do… mouth care, medications, changing bedding and clothes…etc etc etc
I also have much gratitude and praise to offer up to Lord as He has been more than faithful to sustain me and all of us.
BUT did I mention? no more radiation!
I have much more to catch you all up on, but i need to do the rest of the waking up routine…
two three quick mentions:
HAppy belated birthday to my dear dear friend, Angie, who signed up for this adventure and has not once lagged in support. She holds my arms up. She encourages the kids, all of this while looking after her precious family, and overseeing worship to the Lord for a community of believers.
And my own precious kiddo, Mary is graduating university tomorrow. I cant be there and i am a tiny bit bummed. I cant be prouder, however, of her artistic abilities and power. I am sending as many family members as i can in my stead.
Tony is driving Jenni, Emily, Amanda and Hannah to Duluth where Rainer will pick them up and take them to Fargo. Melinda and Katherine leave from the Cities.
As i wrote above i so much to say about all of the rest of my life and i will as best as i am able, as soon as i am able. signing off for now…
ooops, you are right i said three quick mentions! I almost forgot to tell you… NO MORE RADIATION!

Rainer
Yippee! Great news about “no more radiation”, and let’s hope and pray that your recovery from all the side effects will be swift and complete. We certainly will be missing you at the “Fargo Family Bonanza”. Pictures and videos will be taken, for sure, so you’ll feel like you had been there in person.

So happy to hear that, Beth! I am still sorry you can’t make it to Mary’s grad (even though I know you are completely at peace and that God is giving you more grace.)
I can’t tell you how thankful I am to Him for the strength and faith He’s authored in you and the fam throughout this entire trial.
Once again, I’m rejoicing with you that the radiation is behind you. Love you!!

I’m so happy that radiation is over! I love you so much, Mommy. I can’t wait to come home in a week and see you again
