First to explain my absence… well a whole lot of life has happened in the intervening days and I have been feeling lousy again…Good thing I have a diverse reading public or you would be treated to a blow by blow description of my hormones. Anyway, my energy is often sapped and there seems to be only enough for the living of life, not the recording of it.
So lots of news and goodies for you today. When we were last together I had promised photos and recipes from the marina outing. And then Tony went and came up with stupendous outing and now I have more things to report and more photos to post, plus an improvement to the blog. So where to begin??? Should I offer up a photo or a recipe, or dive right into yesterday? Okay I will post a photo or two from the marina outing as a teaser until Tony adjusts more photos to post on the site.
And a recipe…
I had written and prepared most of this post on Saturday. Tony had created the stylish “video screen” below. And I was getting set to regale you with tales of our Friday night adventure. But we had camp shopping to do and we were getting the other kids….so it didn’t get completed or posted. And then the fluctuations of my life took over, soooooo it has taken me this long to finish it all. I will tell you about Friday night and leave you with little video offering. Hopefully soon I can update you on the rest of our weekend.
Friday afternoon, Tony suggested that we go moose hunting, blueberry picking and maybe have a campfire after he got off work. I had no idea how much fun we were going to have. That man does come up with clever ideas.
Well, as usual the moose got wind that Mary was out and they decided to stay in. But we did go up Armstrong Road where last year we found so many wonderful berries. This summer has been unusually hot and dry so the berries were tiny pinheads and not so easy to find. But we did find a few berries and took some amazing photos.
how cute is she with her new bangs?
Then Tony found a super isolated spot to build a fire (where we found the skeleton of a moose…guess he wasn’t fast enough to get away from Mary.)
So in the next post I will tell you more about these goofy city girls, but for now I leave you with this clip….

Whew! There you are!
I’m glad it was all the adventures, and not that you’ve been feeling too lousy that has kept you from blogging – these non-stop adventures bring me back to read more!
I’ve already started an email to you so I’ll write the rest in there!
