And So It Goes
Church, Jesus, School September 15th, 2008
Well it’s been a very productive weekend (don’t you just love those?): I woke up early Saturday morning to get some quality IB research/work time in at the library, a good three hours. These awful World Lit papers which are a burden to do, but at the same time I want to see how mine turns out, I’m that interested. I really really like the play Hedda Gabler, and Mommy really doesn’t, so maybe taste in Norwegian plays isn’t genetic. After the library, I came home and did some heavy lifting for Mommy and Tony, and we got a lot of work done on the house. It was all in preparation for…Sunday…which was Joel’s baptism! I remember my baptism, in those freezing cold waters of Lake Something-or-Rather, at the crack of dawn on that Easter morning. Stinkin’ Joel, got to do it in a heated bathtub in the church. But I guess the message was still the same…
Anyway, I’ve been really grateful for Joel in the recent months, because I’ve felt lonely before and with him around, its not so lonely. And I know that he’s having the same effect on other people, based on what they all said yesterday when they came over. Tony wrote a song for him, which was awesome, not only because it was about Joel but because it rocked. I especially liked the line about how the Lord didn’t wait for us to pray, He took charge and did it Himself. I trust He’ll do it again, but it was also a gentle reminder that not all situations work that way, and the prayer needs to continue, by you and by me.
Band today and lots of school…again.

Hey Katherine,
It was so good to see you yesterday and I just have to say again that you have such a beautiful singing voice. Hope your day at school is good!

Yes, I do like productive weekends.
) I had one of those this weekend…hope school stays fun and interesting for you! Love you and I’m really glad you and Joel have been an encouragement to each other. That’s what family is for – to bless and strengthen and love each other.

I, too, loved hearing your voice on the video. I’m glad your mom pointed it out so I’d know it was you!
Love you, girl!
