I watched the Session 1 of the Believing God Bible Study with Mommy and partly with Jenni too. It was really interesting and I learned some stuff and I’m hoping that some of it be usable in the next few days.
Exams start really soon…we’re getting our take home English Exam Essay on Friday, so tomorrow (eek!) and we’ve been doing review in science and math like crazy. Mr. Sewards said that we should look for a happy medium between the amount that we are fretting over it and not caring at all. He used to be a gym teacher, so he frequently relates things back to sports, and he said that if we worry too much about the exam and let it control how we study, then its like when athletes psych themselves out before they play and then they often play worse than they should.
I really feel that with the exams coming up, God might be asking me to extend a little bit more faith than I usually do…We’ve been talking in Youth Group about how the mistakes we make in school won’t matter in the grand scheme of things, but we still have a responsibility to the education that God has given us so we should be dutiful when it comes to school work. I think that I have reached a happy medium, because I am going to try my best with these exams – I’ll study my butt off and I’ll eat a good breakfast the day of, but I won’t let it run my life for the next week (or I’ll try not to) and I will put my faith in God that what He has planned for me and these exams will be carried out.
