Ruth said I値l call them my folks

Companions they値l be

On my Christmas card list

Names scratched on my calendar

Scraps of paper in my pocket

Simeon, tiny and ancient one

You blessed a thousand lives

or more

in your sojourn of 10 days

You waited for the king

And became

a voice sent deep

into my wilderness

Ruth said I値l call them my folks

They値l be home to me

Carved thru and thru my heart

Voices rambling on my phone

Chunks of memory in my story

Simeon, your God痴 my God

I値l rest next to you

Wiebe, Simeon

Simeon Luke Wiebe was born on November 18, 2004 in Thunder Bay, ON. He was born with a very rare genetic disorder called Restrictive Dermopathy. He spent ten precious days here on earth, with his parents by his side. God used Simeon's short life to touch many lives and bring Him glory. Simeon is survived by his parents Scott and Angela Wiebe, grandparents Larry and Karen Wiebe and Wayne and Eleanor Barron as well as extended family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 12:30 pm at the Avila Chapel at Lakehead University, with a reception following the burial. Those touched by Simeon's life and death are welcome to attend.

"The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord." ~Job 1:21
